Anyone else big fans of Frederick Forsyth books? If you are, there's a new one coming out this week - premise sounds good:

"With the publication of his new book, The Cobra, a hairy account of a White House-hatched plan to let loose a seasoned Special Operations former CIA operative – who had been 'retired' for being too ruthless – on the worldwide cocaine industry, with the remit that there were no boundaries, no rules.."

Cool. Love his books.

The Fist of God is one of my all time favourites.

Probably my favourite author. Reading The Deceiver (found in a local charity shop!) at the moment and it's great.

I think The Odessa File is my favourite literary thriller of all time.

Any other titles of his people would recommend? I've also read The Veteran, The Afghan and The Day of The Jackal.

I don't think you'll be disappointed with any of his books - they are pretty much all damn good stories with copious amounts of well researched material to back them up.

He's also a sound chap - firmly on the right when it comes to politics.

Don't forget his book of short stories, "No Comebacks"

I've always thought that the ability to write a good short story sorts the men from the boys.
