A new twist to scamming e-mails.

I had to laugh at this one.Maybe a new generation of stupid is amongst us..
Needless to say i replied back telling him his tears had clouded his vision and looks like he'd be there for a while..

"Hey!I'm writing this with tears in my eyes,I came down here to London,England for a short vacation and i was mugged at gun point last night at the park o the hotel where i lodged all cash,credit cards and cell were stolen off me I've been to the US embassy and the Police here but they're not helping issues at all,My flight leaves in few hrs from now and am having problems settling the hotel bills.
The hotel manager won't let me leave until i settle the hotel bills now am
freaked out.

Wondering if you can loan me some cash to sort out my hotel bills and get a
cab down to the airport
I'll def refund back as soon as i return.

Write me so I can let you know how to send it.

That's the simple approach, I recall reading online of a chap whose Facebook was hacked and the fraudster contacted his friends list pretending to be the chap with pretty much that story.

If you have some sort of rubbish email client, I suppose.
But if you do that it's sort of like leaving the front door of your house open with a sign saying "burglars welcome"...

I must get 3-4 a day for about 3 days then nothing for a while, then its starts up again!
Lucky I'm on a Mac at work so no harm can be done really.

+1 I'm enjoying the relative safety of being on a Mac. However its only a matter of time before the scamming fktards become wise to our virus free paradise though

I got 2-3 of these a day for nearly a year, not had one for a while now, they must of given up hope. Also often got some pretending to be natwest, telling me I needed to change my online banking passwords etc. Funny since at that point I never used online banking.

I do reply to some of the scam e-mails I get sometimes...just for the laughs mostly. Even so, all the time they are wasting e-mailing me and getting nowhere is time that Doris is not getting her life savings stolen.

I don't understand even bothering to open these emails? I thought that's what the 'delete' key was primarily invented for!
