Where do you buy your clothes from?

Odd one this, but I'm struggling. Spent four hours in Cambridge the other day, and found nothing to buy. Spent two hours in London around House of Frasier and New Bond Street and again, nothing. Currently existing on a fairly standard uniform of jeans and random shirts/pullovers, but would like to upscale a touch.

Trouble is, being nearly 32 and reasonably well-orf, I'm over the typical high street shops and not yet ready to descend into the hell of middle age outfitters. Happy to pay Reiss prices, but can never find anything that remotely appeals.

I'm in the same boat as the OP. I live in Norway, luckily wearing labels is seen as a bit naff. I can happily do H&M for above the waist, and Levis to cover up below the waist.

I went to my old usual places in Manchester recently, Aspecto, Flannels and the like. I came out having spent nothing but thinking WTF ?

I have become a father recently, so I guess that's your answer !

Zucci in Bath for shirts and suits. M&S for underwear and socks. Gap/Fat Face/White Stuff/etc for jeans, t-shirts, jumpers.

Where to?

Get yourself over to New York or Miami, the prices at Calvin Klien, Ralph Lauren, Abercrombie & Fitch, J-Crew, etc, etc are a fraction of the prices over here, in fact the savings more than cover your airfare and a few days hotel bills and the choice is huge.

I take a small suitcase with my clothes in and put that inside a bigger suitcase so that I can fill the larger case with the new stuff on the return journey.

Get on a plane to New York or San Francisco. Macy's and many other stores. I find the US has much much more choice for men's clothing and always stock up while I'm over there. Oh, and a few pairs of jeans means a huge saving going part of the way to justify the trip in the first place.

Also do good paul smith t-shirts in there... occasionally.. Gaff over the road is good too, and Cecil Gee do some good stuff.
