For those little tips in life that not everyone knows but could be useful/entertaining.

I'll start.

Well used blu-tac is fantastic at getting those annoying greasy fingerprints/smudgemarks off smartphones!

blu-tac is also handy for getting dust and dirt out from small gaps in plastic, e.g. the gap in the side of your mouse where the top and bottom meet

If you want to hang up on someone during a phone call, do it in the middle of one of your own sentences and they'll never think it was intentional...

t-cut is good for getting scratches out of cd's and dvd's. rub it from the centre to the edge.
more than one application for bad scratches. i bought a head unit from a friend, it had a glass screen which was badly scratched. took me a few days to get them out. you should have seen his face when i had finished

Always look both ways when crossing one way streets in case a large blue furniture lorry is reversing the wrong way up the street.

When drilling a hole into a wall, place an open envelope below to catch the dust.

Never fall in love.

Use a little butter on the heels of leather shoes that dig in, this will help to soften the leather.

Or a cyclist is bombing it the wrong way down the street.

I normally tape the envelope to the wall a few inches below where I'm drilling. Tape along the very top open edge, and don't be stingy with the tape otherwise you fail to catch all the crap.
