Yes, I am shamelessly looking for good ideas for what to buy the wife for Christmas... and I have had no inspiration so far this year at all.

(all the stuff I can think of is for me)

How much do you want to spend? Main or stocking filler?

Magazine subscription, make a calendar (shows a bit of effort), underwear, spa day, new set of alloys wink, his and hers polishing kit, perfume, smellies, wellies, chocolates (not too many or she'll moan about getting fat), exercise DVD (to burn off the calories), picture in a nice frame, bag, shoes, iTunes voucher, iPod nano, books....

My OH said she wanted a Magimix (food processor if you didnt know). Great, I thought, job done. Then found out the model she wants is 180 quid! So, I back to a bar of Toblerone

If it's a stocking filler, how about some stockings for her to fill?....

Mine announced to me this morning, that as i have to buy her some presents still, she would really like a dimaond ring she has seen in a jewellers in town(£180), or she has seen a handbag. Great thinks i, i can get away with a handbag. Oh no, she has her eyes on a handbag by john rocha, which it seems is going to be £60. For a fecking handbag! I wonder how long i would serve if i broke her neck?

£60 is cheap in handbag land.

She, my internet friend, is marriage material. Have a wonder around Mulberry or Chloe, then pop off to the jewellers and tie her down.

Correct, she is, but after being together for 12 years, and engaged for 10, i have given up asking her to name a date, as the answer i always get is
"Whats the point?? Its only a piece of paper"

Sadly, as an only child, she is kid of materialistic in her outlook.

yes

I got one of these for a pressie a couple of years ago. It was excellent! But I suppose what other people's OHs want for Christmas will depend on what they actually like. There is no "one size fits all".

Just don't buy her anything for the kitchen or household unless she's specifically asked for it. And even if she's specifically asked, buy her something nice for herself as well - chocolates or perfume or something.
