The word Crimbo is a pet hate of mine, am I alone?

The correct word is Christmas!

The first time I heard it, it was on Bo Selecta. Is that where it started, or was it around before then?

'Crimbo' seems chavvy. It's always slightly cringe worthy when people use it.

It's a bdisation of Chrimble, first used by a certain Mr Lennon of the Liverpool environs in the early 60's.....possibly.

Thankfully, nobody with whom I associate uses it. Most of them over the years have caught on to not use any of the seasonal C-words around me now biggrin

But "Crimbo" is extremely wky and possibly a bit do-as-you-likey.

Which is tolerable as a typed abbreviation. People don't actually say "ecksmuss" do they? If they do, they can fk off as well.

Not only can they fk off but they should stick their heads in a mincer to make sure it doesn't happen again

And then doused in the cheap Christmas aftershave to make sure it stings more than a minced head usually would.

Then stuff the Iceland Party food selection down what remains of their mashed up neck.

Or is that a little too harsh?
