Anyone got one?

I seem to recall somebody posting a temp chart up on PH a while ago which recorded temperatures over a certain period of time. Presumably it had a USB interface or a memory card and the unit perhaps took a reading every hour or so and the data could be exported to Excel. I'd like something with this functionality, also with a remote temperature sensor so that I can place it away from the house for a more accurate reading of ambient temp.

Any suggestions?

Cheers,
Lefty

I've got one. Hang on, I'm in the other thread too.

Mine logs every 15 mins into a MySQL database and I extract the results using a PHP web page.

ATTENTION: old thread resurrection!

I got a ClimeMET CM2000 for my birthday - endless hours of geek potential with the data .

Some interesting data so far:

Maximum outside temp so far = 18.9C at 14:30 on 17th March. Very warm for that time of the year.

Maximum diurnal temperature variation = 19.0C (-0.1 to 18.9C) on 17th March.

Maximum wind speed = 41.2 mph (associated with max gust of 50.1 mph) last night

Max 24hr rainfall = 54.9 mm (26th - 27th March)

Max hourly rainfall = 23.7 mm (0400-0500, 27th March)

Pretty stormy last night!

The record is nearly 26C in 1968. Keep trying.

Quite possibly. But 19C is warm for mid-March. Especially up here in the Highlands.
