Clearing out Lieutenant Grubers little tank we've just found a dozen shotgun shells.
Theyre live and a bit rusty.

Any suggestions of the best way to get rid?

So far we have "Bonfire, chuck em in and leg it" and "Stick em in a crack in the stone wall and see if we can set em off with an air pistol"

Any better (or perhaps sensible) suggestions.

Tape them to some fireworks! hehe

Actually, don't do that

Bury them in a garden's corner?

Slice them open and empty the shot out, and throw them in the bin.

Seems rather dull but we'll probably go with that I spose.

(I suggested put em in the vice and smack em with a hammer) smile

^This, but keep the powder and pour into a pile on a hard surface (not the kitchen floor) and trail a road runner style fuse back a safe distance, light the fuse then rub hands and cackle maniacally whilst rubbing your hands together!

Alternatively drop them off at the local police station.

Does the wife do all the cooking at your house?

If so, tape one to the bottom of every saucepan, for positively hilarious results.

I just told her that one. I assume she's laughing on the inside.

Where abouts are you in the country? They may be interesting to me as I collect unusual cartridges (I also shoot the less interesting ones!)

If your local I'd happily remove them for you (can't really chuck them in a jiffy bag).

Get two bolts that fit neatly down a 3" bit of steel tube, put one bolt in each end with said cap in between, tape the bolts in place, then drop the assembly end-on onto some concrete. For a more spectacular version put some of the powder in with it.

West yorkshire.

I don't know if they're remotely unusual. Would a photo of them help?

OT

This reminds me of a prank played at work years ago

Scenario is that John always used to go into Colin’s office with a cigarette between his fingers

Colin, got pissed off with the smokey smell so one day (when John’s was away from his desk) he emptied a shotgun cartridge into the ashtray on John’s desk.

John was on the phone, smoking away, and stubbed his fag out. Biggest genie (indoor) I have ever seen.

John practically shat himself....
