Evening!
Not wishing to cause offence......but why are there Soooo many people around on here who talk of "a M3", "a MX5" etc etc....does this not sound plain wrong to some??
Where is this crap coming from?
I only ever see it in writing.....have never heard anyone say it!!
In essence, if the noun begins with a vowel or sounds like a vowel, "an" should precede it.
Some organisations reject applicants who make this error....not joking!

Why do you raise it?
To join in the fun, tell me whether you would use "a" or "an" before hotel and headteacher?
