Free Charity Day from work Ideas ?

Hi guys & girls,


I work for a pretty big company and all employees have been told we can have 1 day off a year (paid) to work for free at a charity of our choice.

I live in Wiltshire (BA13) and was wondering if anyone had any good ideas ? a few collegues have mowed grass for a country park, and cat cuddling at a cats & Dogs home.. But come on I must be able to do something a bit more exiting with my day !

The idea is not to do anything sponsored, as you can do that in your own time, it is to physically go somewhere and give a charity your time. another college spent the day in a disabled children's centre.

through my work we got involved in working with local schools - all arranged through our local council who had on-going projects with the local primary schools to improve their gardens. Got a lot out of that!
