What have I dont to my heel?
Discussion
After 90 minutes of football yesterday I noticed a small bruise on the back of my heel. After icing it and resting overnight it has since grown in size and hurts a little to walk on if I land heel first. I don't remember anything from the game that would have caused it, not a kick or landing heavily etc. It doesn't really hurt and pretty much pain free when I run (just stuck my trainers and went on a running machine for a couple of mins).
Anyone got an idea what I have done or if I should be concerned? I guess there is no point trying to see a physio? It also happens to be on the same foot that I had achilles tendonitis on recently but that has cleared up.

How recently? This injury can trake a long time to clear properly, problem is because it doesn't hurt too much people carry on, if you have run and played football on it maybe the same injury.southendpier said:

The symptoms disappeared around two months ago and have been able to play football and run without problems since then. I wasnt wearing new boots or noticed any rubbing.paulrhodes said:
I had a similar bruise when I pierced the bursar (Sp)fluid sack. Fooked my heel up good and proper and took months to fix having lots of physio.
I truly hope that it's just a bruise buddy.
Did yours hurt? As this doesn't really hurt now unless I touch it :-)I truly hope that it's just a bruise buddy.
What type of physio did you have to do?
