Up to last year i've had 2proper colds/flu episodes in my life- and have been perfectly healthy.

In the past 9 months i've had 18 different colds, numerous eye infections, skin problems, and loads of spots, and generally felt pretty run down.

is it worth going to the doctos for something as non-specific as this? or should i just man up and ignore it?

I'm almost in the same position, but not quite so severe. My girlfriend thinks It's stress from an unbelievably difficult year manifesting itself now things have calmed down a bit.

Personally, I'm ignoring it but will be interested in any other advice.

Edit - A more helpful response would be that stress causes production of a hormone called Cortisol. Cortisol is an anti inflammatory which in small quantities aids the repair of tissue within the body but in large quantities can suppress your immune system.

So while AIDS is a possible explanation a more likely one is stress. Having said that I don't know if you have a penchant for banging street hookers so possibly not.
