Started to lose weight last year so started to run on the tread mill, went from running 5 minutes to just over an hour. Signed up for the 10k a few months ago so started running out doors. That was much harder lol

Go for it. Enter one so you are committed and train for it. I did my first last Oct and am down for a full one this Oct. Great sense of achievement!!

Go for it, but work your way up.

I did a 5k a couple of weeks back (25m30), got a 10k in about 3 weeks ... hoping for sub 50 mins.

And a bunch of friends are pushing me to either do a half marathon or the great south run. Great south sounds like a much more entertaining day out.

I really do think I would struggle, legs were sore after the 10k!! I'm still on the heavy side. Going to keep at it though, you never know 1 day lol

18mths ago I struggled to do a mile running. 6mths ago I did a 1/2 and I'm down for a full in Oct. I am 15st and 38 so if I can do it.... (Bit embarrassing with all the racing snakes passing you all the time)
