Headache since Friday

Just been down the walk-in doctors, but they are very busy and can't see me, so I walked out. Also been trying not to bother the Docs and have been trying to push through it by taking headache pills.

The headache is over my left eye and back of the neck. My head feels really hot, especially the back of my neck. With heady sick feeling, also body really aches and the OH says the glands around my neck look swollen.

Would have thought it would pass by now, but I feel terrible. Is it a virus I wonder?

are you running a general fever, or have you had any recent infections? please describe the headache in a little more detail:

when the headache started, was it gradual, or quite a sudden onset?
is the headache getting worse, better, or has it stayed about the same in the last couple of days?
is it a sharp pain, dull ache etc?
is it constant, intermittant, pulsatile etc?
does it keep you awake at night, or wake you up because of the pain?
is it worse with certain activities or at certain times of the day?
does coughing/sneezing increase the pain?
have you noticed any vision changes (e.g. blurriness/loss of acuity)?

any other symptoms at all (such as dizziness)?
have you had a history of headaches before?
ever experienced this before?

there are more questions i could ask, but for now that'll keep you busy

cant help much, but i have been having the same issues now, started with a banging headache that lasted a lil while, but i seem to have been left feeling just unwell for months, glands swollen in my neck, and eyes are all puffy...

I have been told it is a virus and it will pass, i have not been given any medication, just told it will pass in time, however i have been like this for coming up 2 months now so i will be returning to the doctors tomorrow morning i think. sorry but your compalint does seem similar,

Do you sit infront of a computer all day by chance?

It felt like a general fever that reached its peak last night and felt like my brain was swelling. By the way my five year old has recently had chicken pox, although I had that as a boy, so that discounts that I suppose?

Gradual

Stayed the same most of Friday,Saturday and Sunday and got worse yesterday

Dull ache with sicky feeling

Constant and above the eye, with an aching neck

does it keep you awake at night, or wake you up because of the pain?

No, I can normally fall asleep in a dark room

If I use the pc too much I provoke it, needless to say I don't use the PC much these days

Yes, it can do if I cough

No

Only in the last few years, so I've learnt to stay away from the pc and not use it too often

Feeling better today,but still feel delicate with a slight heady sick feeling lurking in the background.

Also had a couple of eye tests and vision is very good, other than glasses for reading maps and small print

Yes noticed this all started with prolonged use of the PC so have stopped using it so much.


This last weekend di feel like a virus to me, although I could be wrong.

Sounds a bit like me when I get migraines. Deeply unpleasant... Fingers crossed for a speedy recovery dude.
