Smoking...over the past 6 months I've been slowly reducing the amount that I smoke to the point where I was smoking about 3 a day! So Saturday evening I decided enough and haven't smoked since!

Honestly I can say so far I haven't craved for one, but I'm going cold turkey and using self help books which have worked for me before! Just this time I intend not to fall back into bad habits!

Nice one. Read the Allan Carr book. Failing that, try Jimmy Carr. nuts

Allen Carr. He spelt it wrong, but it makes it easier to find.

ETA. Should've said - well done mate. Keep it up. Have a quick flick through this thread - it may help: click.

Nice one! Hang in there, seems like you're hopefully sorted but don't be discouraged if you do hit a bump at some point.

For me its not an addiction as such more of a time filler when I'm bored! The main issue is just making sure I'm always busy at work! Not particularly hard when projects are coming to an end! Last few times I quit once I've managed a week I'm completely free of the want to smoke because I'm bored!

On the plus side I feel better already and its only been 3 full days

Edit to add: thanks for the support!
