Meal ideas for gym/weight training
Discussion
Mods, please feel free to move if this should go in food and drink but it relates specifically to weight training so not sure if it is better here alongside all the discussion on protein powders
Anyway, quite simply I am totally hopeless in the kitchen and now that I am back into doing a few weights again I am acutely aware that I can;t live on protein shakes/baked potatoes/scrambled eggs/plain chicken and rice.
So, has anyone got any decent links to some simple recipes that I could knock together that are high in protein and good to eat for someone trying to put on a bit of muscle. I'm not going all out to be a serious body builder or anything, just want to keep the fat off and reward my body with something appropriate before/after my training. Oh... and I really am not a big fan of tuna...
Thanks

I like to buy some chicken (1.3 Kilos of mixed thighs and drumsticks are £3 at Tesco) then marinating them overnight in garlic, ginger, garam massalla and a splash of water. They can then be fried off or grilled and eaten with rice.
If you want the full recipe, let me know. On the other hand, if you cba (which I can't today) I often marinate the same chicken (skinned, of course) in nandos sauce for 24 hours and then bake.
