Anyone use Total Fitness?

I subsequently joined fitness first but unfortunately they closed in the summer to change over to a Klick Fitness, which I also joined and although it was very cheap I just didn't enjoy using.

So I cancelled my membership and had a fantastic summer just running (completed the Great North Run, 5 x 10km and 1 x 10m events).

But now the dark nights are very much with us running or cycling outdoors is becoming less appealing and I am seriously missing weight training and having a sauna to chill out in.

I went and had a look around the Wakefield Total Fitness today and was very impressed, I was offered a today only special deal but I'm hoping they'll still honour it.

Just wondering if anyone on here had any exerience, good or bad, with the chain or (being cheeky) any offer codes? £45/month is significantly more than I wanted to pay really, but the facilities look really good and I can see myself using it twice some days, doing weights before work and then having a relaxing swim at lunch or after work for example.

My old boss is a regular there every morning and loves it. The family gym also seems a very good idea

Best mate was a member and is thinking of joining back up, and I think I might join him in the new year as well

Live in Leeds but work in Ossett, so Total Fitness is just a tiny diversion on my way to work as I leave the M1. Used to go further to Fitness First, but then it was half the price.

Just trying to justify the £45/month, which I think I have. I think it's important to have a gym you feel comfortable in otherwise you just won't use it; I only visited briefly today but the atmosphere seemed really good.

And the spa area next to the pool looks fantastic

Just outside Cleck but best mate lives in Earlsheaton. I actually work in Cas so may detour down the M1 on the way home if/when I join

I have been a member of the JJB (now DW) at Jct 27 and that is a decent gym.

You seen the 24/7 gym by the Corn Exchange? That's pretty cheap

Drove past the DW today as it goes, it's a bit out of my way though but I know from using the Newcastle one back in the JJB days they're good gyms.

Looked at the gym next to corn exchange, and the similar one on the headrow, but they're pretty much identical to the Klick fitness I left. Plus it means a treck into Leeds. The wife has been considering joing one though as she's based in Leeds for work.

Any others you can think of? Would like a pool but by no means essential.
