Anybody used these? If so, any recommendations for a non hand- held?

Cheers.

I suffer from this, my arms face and legs. i have used steroid cream which offers short term relief, but going to the gym and using sun beds really clears it up. Never used the lamps but sunbeds seem to work well.

Cheers, certainly an option. It's not so bad these days, but when I was 18 I had it all over my body and was nearly admitted to hospital. It went as quickly as it came, and I was clear for many years. It seems to be making a comeback 30 years later.

Really horrible, nasty thing to have, I feel for you.

Has your local hospital not got lamps you can use? I go in 3 mornings per week to use the stand up sunbed.

I go on a sun bed about every two to three months. That keeps it under control.

Having the time really. It would be cheaper for me to buy a lamp and use it at home.

infliximab is a really good treatment for that.

theres a few people who have it really REALLY bad when I go into have my infliximab (different condition than you thought, it does a few things) and its cleared it right up for them.

but it is pretty pricey stuff, mine is on the NSH and costs them about 1400 quid every time I have it, so your condition would have to be pretty severe.

I used to suffer from psoriasis very badly.

So much so I was incapacitated for two weeks, could not drive because skin cracking and bleeding when trying to hold steering wheel.

GP put me on very strong oral steroids which did get rid of skin scales after a month, but nasty side effects.

six months later I was covered head to toe again.

Accupuncture has sorted it. I am 99.9% psoriasis free, and have been for 10 years, apart from a tiny patch on my right elbow, that I keep as a reminder!

I highly recommend acupuncture from a reputable Chinese practitioner.
