last night my right ear became infected but the puss or fluid won't come out. it feels like i've been swimming and the waters stuck. now should i worry about it? should i attempt to get it out i.e. pop my ears and hope it comes out (which i tried unsuccesfully) or just leave it and hope it goes away? i've been given antibiotics by the doc but she was unclear on the trapped fluid.

appologies for sentence structure/ spelling and so on, i've been awake for 45 hours and its the least of my priorities

Straw... try to spit rather than swallow the resulting fluid!

How do you know there is fluid in there? Have you had any discharge?
Sticking anything solid deep into your ear is going to cause more harm.

Try putting your finger on that little bit of cartilage at the front of the ear and wiggling it about, that clears it for me so I can hear properly again.
