Very black, very shiny (Looks ready to pop). Can I stick a needle in it and get all the gunk out?
I'd really like it gone by tomorrow and it greeted me on friday night after a particularly strenuous crap.

Been putting Germaloids on it but all it's done is numb the pain a bit. No shrinkage yet.

I'm one of the lucky few that didn't have to wait until he was 40+ for hemorrhoids. I think I fist got them when I was about 13. 23 now. Fml.

Currently hyping myself up to do it.. There's something so wrong about poking at your asshole with a needle.

Couldn't go through with it. Guess I'll have to wait it out.

Try anusol HC cream, I found it to be better with the hydrocortisone in it, you'll have to ask behind the counter for it though paperbag. Failing that go to doctors as I don't think bursting it would be a good idea but I can see the temptation.

Jeez. I would be very wary of bursting it. Speak to your GP or a colorectal specialist. You don't want to be bleeding to death - it's a swollen blood vessel. Plus it might really hurt like a bastid.

Out of interest(!), is it an internal or external one? If internal, you could probably push it back in if that makes things more comfortable. Depends on your tolerance for pain as I hear it can be really sore to touch.

PS Stop straining. Sort out your diet ffs. Faecal matter should pass without much pressure as unnecessary pressure and sitting on the toilet too long will develop them. Eat lots of fibre, drink lots of water, add linseed to your diet (coats the food in a goo plus contains protein for weight-lifting!).

It's external, no pushing it back in unfortunately. It's smaller than what I'm used to, but it looks totally different. It's a red bulge near the anus, then a big purple streak going up my bum cheek and then there's a purple patch of skin. Not raised or anything. I guess that vein has just cut off supply of blood and it's clotted everywhere that the vein supplies the blood hence the purple patch. Kind of like a varicose vein running out of my ass and up my bum cheek.

Bit odd.

Anyway, I wouldn't usually strain to hard and the problem was that I didn't really need a crap. I had an intense stomach ache and thought it might be that I was constipated or there was some trapped wind. A bit of straining later and POP. There it goes.. Should have just put up with the sodding stomach ache in hindsight. It didn't cure it anyway.

I'm going to buy some high fiber cereal though and have a little bowl each day to help things along. My turds are usually fine anyway though but this has just reminded me how much I fking hate hemorrhoids.

I would see your GP. Perhaps he can offer something a bit safer than poking it with a needle.

Pop into Holland and Barrett and buy 500g of linseeds. Add a sprinkle to your cereal or salad.

Edit to add: I'm not a bum expert; I have spoken to a lot of people about bowel problems in the past due to my charity work, though, so know a bit more about the bowel than the average hippo... sometimes, I wish mind bleach was a reality.

I'll give it a few days. With the cream the pain is hardly anything.

Follow up question, squatting with heavy weight. Good idea or bad idea? I'm sick of my body fking up and stopping me from working out. It's taking the piss a bit.

First a sprained knee, thumb and all kinds of other st, now my bumholes exploded.

Hm. The pressure you exert will encourage haemorrhoids. I mean, you've seen that pic of the weightlifter with his bowel hanging out of his anus.

Edit: was going to post it but google "weightlifter rectum" and you'll see it (split trousers) - it's too graphic.

Purple patch has grown quite a bit larger and darker. Bit odd.

Doing my workout now and there's actually less pain than there has been the rest of the day. I think it's giving in. Still, the purple/blue patch is very odd.

I think it's just where the bloods kinda pooled and... died? Does blood die? I guess it does. Only it's died everywhere where the vein supplies. Lifting weight has actually made is smaller!

Squats. There's nothing they won't cure.

I think it will get absorbed back into your system. Your weight work is probably slowing things down because of the straining. That is all guessing, though.

Hmm, I don't believe that. I think you will stop it's receding it you continue to workout.
It might still be 'settling in'?

I did some deadlifts two weeks ago and gave myself a little friend, fking annoying. Not done deads for a loooong time and maybe I went too heavy too soon. So I am staying away from the gym till he goes awaybiggrin

This thread did make me laughbiggrin

Nope, genuinely almost gone. No pain whatsoever. It hadn't changed all day, during squats the pain started going away, now it's basically gone a few hours later.

Well impressed.

Maybe the added blood flow to the area helped? I dunno. I also had a pre workout sup which is basically a dickload of caffeine. Not sure if that'd have an effect.

Either way I'm well chuffed I maned up and did the squats.
