I struggle to do it with light weights that are easy for me to lift.
I was recently doing some dumbbell bench press (flat) and my arms were all over the place even though the weight was really light and easy. Same obviously happens when the weight is higher.

Any tips?

Try doing the exercise with no weight. If you still can't get the form right you need some help from a trainer/friend/spotter to get your muscles to "learn" and "remember" the correct movements.

I do know what I have to do. I think it may be a concentration issue.

Are you rushing the exercise? I'd go back to really slow, controlled movements - that will fix your attention.

If you're lacking stability in the movement which it sounds like you are, don't forget to train your back(weighted rows for example). This is where the stability is going to come from.

If the exercise is new to you, it may also be that your muscle need to learn the movement of the exercise. - this will only come with practice.

Try a ligther weight and SuperSlow sets - look it up. Superslow is like 8 secs up, 4 secs down. It's the best for motor control development (otherwise known as 'talent' tongue out ), which maybe the only thing you're lacking.

Could be muscular imbalances or other issues, but Superslow sets are the best start.

btw, Superslow sets are naturally negative rep inducing, so expect to get DOMS bigtime.

Good for you for sorting it....it is absolutely staggering how many people exercise with bad form even with basic things like press up's never mid mind when you get to exercises with weights.
