Can't bite properly

Any ideas before I go to the Drs...has been like it a few days now. I can't get my molars to bite against each other due to discomfort in my jaw. Seems to be on the left side only at the point the bottom jaw meets the rest of my skull. I thought is was because I slept awkwardly..any ideas?

It might be a dentist rather than the Dr you require. Had the old wisdom teeth out yet?
