Had a smashing workout on Monday with yesterday being a rest day.
Felt all day like I have dead forearms and the same today but mainly in left this time. (bit like I have no energy what so ever in them)

Is it DOMS or have I pulled something? Its really quite unpleasant to be honest.

I think If you pulled soemthing it would have hurt sooner. I say give it a few days. On sunday I did legs. No pain until monday where I was so stiff and achey I dreaded standing up. 3 days later it is getting better but still hurts. I will be better by friday just in time to do it all again. On that bassis I would give it a few days DOMS will subside after 2-3 days max. For me that is as long at it has ever lasted.

It also gets easier to move when you have started. Injuries are always a constant pain and worse when you move.

Just doesn't really feel like any kind of muscle pain I've felt before. I got shoulders and back tonight so I'll see how it goes.

What was your workout on Sunday? As you are doing shoulders and back and didn't say this was the same, did you workout involve chest or biceps?

General over activation of these muscles and therefore the feeling of tightness could be mildly constricting the blood vessels and nerve pathways.

I have cut a piece of PVC pipe to use like a foam roller for one of my clients to use on his desk. Symptoms weren't exactly the same but the pipe still had the desired affect. Alternatively, a massage, either yourself or get someone else to do it. Add in chest, bicep, tricep, posterior shoulder and all wrist stretches as well.

May be too late to make a substantial difference this time, but may help you recover quicker next time.

Guessing you mean monday but was chest and triceps.
Does feel slightly constricted now you've mentioned it, I'll caress my arm for a few hours.

DOMS after any kind of lay off, or change to your routine can be quite 'exquisite'.
I hardly shifted anything of note from December until last Saturday. I did a 'heavy' pull day like I used to.
Kinell.

I'm still aching like a biatch now, though rather less than Monday and yesterday.

If it just feels like you haven't got any muscles there, then it's probably just a sign you've really worked it. biggrin

Sharp pain or twingeing would get me worried.

As in weak? We did loads of leg raises last night. This morning I couldn't sit up in bed. It was as if someone had removed my abdominal muscles. I had to roll onto my side and push up with my arm. biggrin

Lifeless is how I'd describe it.
I've had muscle fatigue before but this just feels like a new level.

Was a good workout I had so could just be out for the count.

Peculiar. Give it a couple of days and see how recovery goes.

I think LG is on the money and there is an awful lot of difference between muscle fatigue and muscle damage with weight lifting.

Just eat enough, rest and I'm sure all will be good.

Went to the gym and did shoulders. Didn't have an effect on my lifts and this morning it is a bit better (still feels a bit funny) so it can't be that serious.
