On a bit of a weight loss mission. So thought I'd work out how many calories per day I use just being alive and work out my diet from here. So it turns out I use around 1575 even if I lie in bed all day.

What's yours?

1,910, but it doesn't take into account bodyfat, so is quite pointless.

No exercise 2292

I usually exercise 6/7 times a week but I'll say 3-5 a week so with that 3553.

29, 6'4" 234lbs.

I've been sticking to around 1700 a day for the msot part and I'm loosing around 2lbs a week. Through the week I don't eat any ste and it's easy to be full and keep within the limit. When the day comes that I can maintian 3553 cals would be nice.........

It also doesn't take into account underlying physiology, illness or how many cups of coffee you have per day. However it's still far from pointless.

2,093. 92.5kg, age 25. I got the gym 3 times a week (purely weights) and am currently bulking so have a little fat around the edges bounce

Will lose a couple of kilos for the summer cut

I will try and limit carbs as much as I can and only have them early in the day. Lots of protein and veg stuff.

This is my first winter bulk. I have been working out properly for just over a year. I weighed 82kg this time last year - I have put on a bit of fat over winter but you can still see a bit of ab definition. It is a bit disappointing to see fat again but it will be worth it in the end (hopefully!)

My BMR says 1946 calories.

However, I'm on a bit of a mission to lose some pie, and get fitter.

I've already established that if I have 1800 calories in a typical day (which includes 2 miles of brisk walk) then I don't put on any weight.

In order to lose weight, I need to drop to circa 1600, or do some exercise in the gym.

Doesnt seem very personal (how could it be!)

It gives me a BMR of 1800 but I've had it measured higher than that. 2000-2100 I think, though this was 3 years ago now.
