I banged my head about a week ago, it didn't hurt too much at the time but I seem to have hurt my teeth/gums. For a few days after I had what's best described as very bad toothache. This subsided over time but now drinking hot/cold drinks causes quite severe pain.

Is it worth a trip to the Dentist, or will the pain go in time.

Can anyone recommend anything to ease the pain?
