The training diet thread
Discussion
The 'what training' thread is becoming quite diverse, in terms of topics discussed, as opposed to strictly being about training.
One of the useful (imo) topics is that of diet. So I was thinking we could use this thread for that? I know I could do with some inspiration.
So, perhaps a post with what one's daily diet consists of, along with a note of what training is being done to add context?
eta - I meant the transformation thread..... (got the two threads mixed up!)

Anyone tried intermittent fasting? 16hrs fast, 8hrs feed? Have seem a few folk raving about good results, BBers and strongmen.
I've seen some folk do it with decent results but its definitely not for me, I turn into a miserable git when I get hungry and don't enjoy it at all!If you've not already checked out leangains its worth checking here;

Had a look there, some decent info. May give it a go but I'm concerned that it may loose me strength....If you've not already checked out leangains its worth checking here;

Charles Bronson advocates it.I tried while walking around Gatwick for 8 hours. Weird feeling, but then I had also been on the move for more than 24 hours anyway.
I did ask this in the transformer thread;
What do people snack on at night when a pint of water doesn't do the job?
I am bulking at the moment. Eating the required ammount of food is a real struggle for me, especially since I'm an ectomorph.
A good snack in the evening is Cottage cheese and a couple of oatcakes. Infact I would say it is a must for anybody looking to build muscle. Any form of casein protein is a must before bed.

+1 for leangains.com and 16/8 fasting.
You will NOT get weaker from following this approach. Depends on how you prefer to eat but I find, for me at least, that it allows me to combine eating healthy with working long hours with little access to appropriate nutrition. It also allows me to eat HUGE even when dropping bodyfat:-)

I've not read it properly yet, but first impressions are it's eating exactly the way we're told not to do it. http://www.leangains.com/
It took a lot of effort for me to start having breakfast and a mid morning snack. I always used to wait till lunch or maybe even tea time before I ate. Now you feckers are telling me it's the thing to do.
So much internet; so little time.
