Head/Neck ache, brain fog, tiredness - thoughts?
Discussion
Folks,
A few weeks ago I started getting headaches at the back left of my head, combined with neck aches. Went to doctors, got migraine meds, didn't do too much.
I was on holiday most of January, had the headaches, neckaches and felt generally spaced out a lot of the time. Vertigo / brain fog like symptoms were pretty common. I also had a panic attack during the trip, something that hasn't happened before.
Fast forward to now and I'm continuing with work, but feel pretty spaced out, have neck aches a lot of the time and feel very tired.
The doctor out here keeps trying to tell me I'm suffering migraines, yet the tablets he gives me make little/no difference.
I've done plenty of Googling and a few common diagnoses seem to be a neck injury, inner ear infection, anxiety/stress, depersonalisation, under active thyroid or a specific type of migraine.
I've never had anything like this before, no history of anxiety/depression, I'm still eating, drinking, sleeping properly, I haven't fainted or vomited at all.
I spend a lot of time in front of a computer at work, so I thought perhaps bad posture and too much time staring at a screen might be the cause.
Has anyone had or seen anything similar? Any thoughts on what it might be?
I'm currently trying to drink plenty of water, exercise more and spend less time at the computer screen!

Possible Arnold Chiari malformation? The vagueness of the symptoms and lack of any effective treatment so far would lead me to think of this.
Is there any history of spinal injury, whiplash etc?
SD.
ps -
My wife was diagnosed with this condition about 8 years ago, getting a diagnosis was a nightmare - finding someone who had heard of it was even harder. Try www.chiari.co.uk/chat - fairly active forum for those with ACM

Sitting down too much (desk bound job), creating a bad posture, can create persistent headaches. Folded legs shortens muscles in your legs, pull on msucles in your back, all the way up to your head which eventually ends with the fascia in your head being srtetched, creating headaches. It's more common than eye strain and often is misdiagnosed as such.
But this usually causes a headache at the front of your head where the fasica inserts, but could cause headaches anywhere depending on your sitting posture.
Never seen that cause dull/dizzy/fogginess though. Sounds more Lymph node infection related - just behind-below your ears affecting balance and can cause anything from dizziness to sickness to nausea.

I haven't been bumping into things, just feeling foggy in the head and a little out of it.
I've also read about chiari and will ask the doc about that on my next visit
I'm trying a heat patch thing for my neck today and less time at the computer.
I'm also having pain at the bottom of my back and in the neck so logically that might be something to do with my posture/spine/back right?

I've been away from the computer pretty much all weekend.
It seems I feel worse in the morning, tired, head spinning, ache more but no headaches. I feel better during the day, but seem to lose energy completely by dinner time, feel spaced out and have worse headaches at night.
I also tried getting someone to lift my head which seemed to make me feel a little better.
Back to the docs today and time for some scans/tests I think

...and still we go on.
The headaches have virtually gone, but still plenty of neck and backache pains a lot of the time.
I generally ache all over and have started to get tightness in my chest quite regularly over the past couple of weeks. I generally feel pretty spaced out and energy less most of the time as well
I haven't had any blood tests. Last visit to the docs he said maybe I'm homesick (I live in Korea) but I doubt that to be the cause!
Any thoughts on this? Getting bored of feeling like s
