Concept 2 Rower Hire Scheme

Has anyone hired a Concept 2 rower through their hire or hire to buy scheme?

I really want a rower but used ones fetch good money on eBay and I can't afford to buy one outright at the moment.

It costs £8.25 a month to hire one with no minimum term. Only a £40 admin charge which includes delivery to home and collection when you cancel.

I borrowed one from a friend over Xmas and really got in to it. I know £36 a month is a gym membership but I live miles from the nearest gym.

Any thoughts?

You could join a local rowing club (often cheaper than a gym) and use theirs, then do the real thing too Hiring does sound like a good idea though - if you really get into it I suppose you just save up and pay off the balance?

I think you will find it is £8.25 a week rather than a month.

Hmmm, tempted now. Always liked fitness/rowing and I've just made a load of room in the spare bedroom... Will get the tape measure out tomorrow and see if I can fit one in.
