I have been waiting for the results of medical tests and called into my doctors. The receptionist said your results are in! I asked are they normal and she said it didn't say but they are not marked urgent, and made an appointment for me in a weeks time.

Any thoughts on this

I'd be more concerned if they were marked urgent!

Hard to tell without more context.

Marked urgent means that a result's come back that the lab consider is likely to need an immediate response, for example when I was diagnosed with very bad vitamin D deficiency they faxed a prescription to the pharmacy and got me to start on the medication the same day.

So it tells you that nothing's come back that's made your GP break out in a cold sweat, basically. So no, you can be the opposite of concerned, it's a pretty good sign. smile

^^^^ This

When my medical team ring me and say "There's nothing to worry about but can you pop down in an hour" I get a bit twitchy 'cos that's code for "You're actually quite poorly and we're going to stick lots of needles in you and fill you with side effects" wink
