Serious question here.

A couple of days ago I was squeezing into a car through a narrow door (car parked too close) and caught my groin area against the the door or something, applying some pressure to it.

Since then, it feels like the left potato is sitting higher than normal, and there is a slightly uncomfortable pain.

I'm more comfortable asking here than I am getting my plums out to my doctor TBFH but should I be seeking medical advice or will it eventually settle back down?

Many thanks my testicle endowed friends hehe

Find out the name of the lady doctor at the practice. Then ring up and ask for available appointments all of which you cannot make until miraculously you can make yourself available for when she has a free slot (as it were).

Apologies for the lack of medical advice.

You have probably strained the suspensory ligaments on your nuts.

Generally speaking, if you have seriously damaged any part of your body the pain will get worse and worse. If it gets better by itself, there is usually no cause for concern.

From your description it sounds a mild strain.

If it gets worse I would see a doctor. You will find they are only interested in repairing any damage. The organ involved is of no interest to them.

I doubt it is a major problem. Get it checked if it worries you.

I strained my nadgers when i was younger. As far as i can remember it was something daft like getting off a high stool and twisting one of them.

Went to the docs as being a man i feared i had the big c or something. Turned out to be strain.

Just go to the docs mate, never no what you could have done...

never understood the way blokes get uptight about getting their nuts out for a doc to check em but we're happy to shower after rugby or football naked in front of a load of blokes. tbh my nuts are the only time I got to the doctors, maybe thats my lifestyle wink

I could rub them better for you if you like?

Seriously, go see your GP.

It might well take the mind of the OP off the pain. I cannot see it as a cure.

Must be worth a try!! smilesmilesmile You never know!!
