"First day of last period" Think the due date might be wrong
Discussion
I don't want to sound like I'm having a panic, but my partner is not sure if the midwife has got our due date correct...
She was asked originally when her last period was due and so we gave this date to the midwife and she calculated from that however when talking to other mothers yesterday they were asked when their last bleedy period was rather than when they missed the period. Seeing as there is a one month difference between the two, which one is the best to go from? Do they count 40weeks from the last actual period or the estimated date of the period that is missed?
Unfortunately, we don't know how the original midwife calculated the date as she was on strike when we were due to see her the next time and has been off sick since, and then we moved surgeries last month when we moved to Basingstoke
My partner will be giving the new midwife a ring tomorrow but was hoping to ease her mind tonight, as if the first midwife messed up it means our kid could be due in three weeks time
Thanks
