Arm still sore 3+ years after fracture
Discussion
Came off my bike about 3 years ago and fractured my radial head. So, is it normal\unsurprising that after 3+ years it still hurts? Has been really sore since the first time I went mountain biking this year. So that's about 6 weeks now were it's been painful pretty much all the time.
The pain is not at the elbow, but in my wrist. When I originally fractured my elbow, I thought I had done the wrist as well. The doc said this wasn't the case and that the pain in the wrist was "sympathetic" pain from the fracture. The pain that I have now feels very much like a less extreme version of what it was like when I fell.
It's not generally debilitating although if it's really bad I find my grip is not as strong and that I struggle to hold my weight on it when say getting up off the floor.
Trip to the doc? Or man up and shut up?

Funnily enough I am having the same issue. Fractured and displaced my elbow 18 months ago, Agony at the time took a while to heal and get good range of movement back (remember the worst of the pain being my wrist). However it has been fairly trouble free last few months (apart from odd niggle)
Last week arm has been aching...a lot, esp distally (towards the wrist). Thought it may have had something to do with helping to stretcher a heavy rottie at the weekend but that's nothing more than what I do frequently with my job.
I'd be interested to see if anyone has any views, if it continues I'll obviously seek further assessment.

Well my plan is to go to the doc I think. Had a riding lesson yesterday then did half an hours wood sawing and this morning my arm was really stiff and very sore. Surely that's not right!?
A friend of mine reckons I should push to see a physio as she believes it will only get worse as I get older unless something is done now.
I'll report back.
