Sports Massage - Wow, I'm having some more of that!
Discussion
After a season of basketball my 38 year old legs are a bit knackered and tight/sore...so before starting my summer of strength and plyo work I thought I'd get them massaged to see if there was any tightness that could be reduced and leave them a bit fresher.....wow, half hour yesterday and they feel great!
Going to go weekly for weeks then monthly long term....as well as feeling better I have probably added about 3" to my vertical leap by not having hamstrings pulling against quads when I jump.
Anyone else do this regularly and noticed benefits?

PS. Holy s
t, it hurt at first!

t, it hurt at first!Had one earlier this week. Really does make a difference to the legs.
When I was running regularly I'd have one every couple of weeks.
Just a Shame it's quite expensive, otherwise I'd be having them weekly.
If it doesn't hurt much, you can always ask them to go in deeper. The lady that does mine now doesn't really go too deep, but she also focuses on stretching the muscles whilst massaging them as well.
