Until very recently, like everyone else if I pretended to snore, I did this thing that was a bit like real snoring, but not quite. But I kinda recently managed to somehow (well, alprazolam helped) be awake while on the threshold of snoring a couple of times (if that makes sense) and anyway I can now replicate that. It kinda feels like I'm doing something with my palate. What's goign on? Wikipedia doesnt' really help. I think it's apnea type stuff.

Is there any possible use for this new talent? Actually I can think of one intimate one. But anything, say, in the actingg arena?

What is the term for learning how to use muscles just by being aware of using them, when you do the thing involuntarily once. It's quite common.

Snoring is caused by the soft palate relaxing and partially obstructing the airway...so it's a passive rather than an active thing. So I'd hazard a guess that you've become aware of how to relax it, rather than how to use some muscles. Could be entirely wrong though smile

I just realised quite how sad the answer to this made me, so I'd rather not say...
