I hate to be a lecturing bore but how good if your diet and training, because if neither are good then weight loss tablets will be less than worthless, they will cost you money and deliver zero results.

What is your calorie intake day/week and how is it split.

Also what does your training look like?

L-Carnitine I am using from Myprotein. Have to agree with OC in that exercise wise I am burning 33k cals per month and my diet is in the main 'good' food.

This works amazingly well...

... In Rats

L-Carnitine
Supplements that feature this amino acid promise weight loss and improved energy.
Reality check: Although some research does confirm its benefits for fat oxidation, there are just too many studies out there showing it does not work. An Australian study published in 2000 showed that taking 2 g of L-carnitine twice daily for 8 weeks did not alter fat mass or total body mass in overweight women. A Swiss study showed that L-carnitine had no effect on metabolism and didn't improve exercise performance. A study published in Sports Medicine concluded simply that there is no scientific basis to recommend L-carnitine supplements to improve exercise performance.

Research shows it doesn't work in humans though.
I must be a rat then.

Works remarkably well for me.

Tenuate retard worked well.
It's a food suppressant that makes you feel full all the time. After a week of use, your body will start to burn the fat for energy rather than rely on the food you eat; although i wouldn't recommend heavy exercise for the first few weeks as you'll have no/little energy.
Weight really started to shift after 4 weeks and energy levels were better circa 5 weeks.

Paper, when eaten as part of a healthy diet, may help you lose weight.

ECA stack. (Ephedrine, Caffeine, Asprin)

There is no better! Not strictly legal die to the ephedrine, but it absolutely strips fat off!!
I've run T90's (90mgs of ephedrine) and T30's (30mgs of ephedrine) and i'd recommend the T30's.

Google ECA stacks!

There is actually far more powerful substances than ECA/ECY wobble

However..... I really wouldn't advocate anything like this especially for someone with little knowledge as these things are not just illegal but can also be very dangerous. I really don't think its needed if diet/training is in check and if it isn't then then ECA/ECY will do zero anyway, it can't fight against too many calories!

Agreed. You can't eat like a pig and expect to lsoe weight on them. Although i think that's probably true of any weight loss supplement!

I can only use them for a couple of weeks though as they make me sweat loads! They also hugely affect my running and cycling as my heart rate hits max without too much effort therefore meaning i can go a lot slower!

This ^^

One of my mates was competing in Portsmouth yesterday at the ukbbf and watching him prep over the last 12 weeks has been painful. I know there are things that can assist with cutting the fat but his diet was clean as anything and the amount of cardio he put in was incredible.

He takes it seriously and he gets results. This is the first point of call for anybody wanting to strip down not tablets.

Interesting though RunnersWorld also recommend L-Carnitine to burn fat.

I have not tried paper though as I don't like the taste.

To be fair there is evidence either way although more in the favour of it not working, still medical science has been wrong a huge amount of times in the past so there is a chance this does work.

Personally I think at best we are talking like 1% difference, given the hard and illegal drugs can barely scrape a 10% metabolic increase with the exception of one that I wont mention that manages a 30% increase.

I don't think I should say on Pistonheads, its not that type of site and I also don't agree with it.

If you google it or visit popular bodybuilder websites you'll see talk of them, its not some grand secret but I don't think the mods would like me discussing things like this.

......and even on most of those sites they will tell you it can kill you so don't use!

Whatever happened to good old fashioned hard work! It doesn't matter what 'supplements' you use, it really does all boil down to dedication and hard work.
