I used to take Kalms to help me sleep when I was anxious about things years ago (exams etc)
If I didn't have Kalms I took Bachs Flower Remedy which seemed good too.
I never thought they would have helped for anger much though, but maybe they would.
I have been finding myself increasingly angrier over the past few weeks. I can't put my finger on why as most things are kushti.
Drink has been fixing it for me so far, but I know this isn't the answer, so might look to the remedies too as I get so angry that I go all tense, and then start getting pains and light of breath.
Is there anything inpeticular that makes you angry?

I'm looking to up the gym attendance this week!
It's small instantaneous incidents, quite prevalent in driving, but can happen with anything. Stuff that would not bother me, has the red mist going now - To the point where if I can't sort it, I would like myself better on the cigarettes!

Been there done that started smoking again!! I don't have time to elaborate right now as I've gotta go to work, but I gave in after two years and started smoking again as it was a major problem for me. I think once you've relied on the fags your other stress coping mechanisms cease to work anymore!
It certainly seems that way! Not something I want to fall back to though.I was once a care free, easy going person. Over the last few years the smallest things have tipped me over the edge.
I've destroyed two strimmers, a lawnmower, an ill-placed garden wall clock, punched holes in a door and bookcase (I'm not hard, they were very cheap!).
I blame this on the stress of work (long story). I kept it bottled up and it ultimately led to me becoming depressed.
If there are any underlying factors which you think may be causing this deal with them ASAP! Before it affects the people around you, I've snapped at my girlfriend for the most trivial of things and gone on rampages. I instantly feel ashamed and angry at myself as soon as the red mist has vanished.
Speak to your GP if you are worried.

I've had bouts of this. Always resisted drugs etc. I have found exercise helps, but the trouble with that is as soon as I have a couple of days off, I find myself yelling at my fist again John Cleese style over some triviality.
It comes down to a feeling of lacking control, for me anyway. If I feel in control and on top of things then I don't get angry, I can deal with problems. When something happens that I have no control over and I am negatively impacted by it, I get explosive anger over any trivial nuisance that pops up.

giving up and anger.. yup, it takes about 8-9 months for it to dissipate to a level that is acceptable.. that's what the wife tells me. the introduction of exercise helps.
everything, just everything was a trigger, f
k I could have killed the cat numerous times, just smashed the door down a couple of times, angry with the lid on some jam.. nothing works..
aaaarrrrggggghhh.........., It was never like this when I smoked!!.
sometimes it was simply the wrong food for dinner, So I didn't eat. wrong clothes that didn't fit as i put on weight, wrong people to see us, wrong everything.. just wrong.
I never actually had massive tantrums, but I would feel it boiling away inside.. I would remain as calm as I could but get the right arse.
It does pass.. to much more infrequent episodes.. it just takes time.. good on you.. keep going.

I was a rather angry person - I still am a bit, but very much less so.
On the recommendation of my father in law, I did a Vipassana meditation course. It's made a marked difference. I'm still no monk but it takes far more to wind me up and when I do get wound up it lasts no where near as long.
I've had a history of being quite self-destructive but I feel far calmer and in control now - the rage is under control. Hard to explain really.
Not only is it good for the above, it does help you sort out a lot of other stuff as well.
Perhaps it's something you could have a look at.

Inconsiderate neighbour came out again at 6am, and having not fallen asleep since being woken up an hour before hand I went downstairs and asked him to stop it and rather than coming out the back to go out the front where he would not be annoying anyone.
Went back up to bed and just cried! (I am female, so allowed to)
Felt like crying again at 7am when the alarm went off.
Then tried to go to the local boots on the high street at 8:30 to pick up some kalms or bach rescue remedy before work as my heart is just beating so fast and I feel so angry that it hurts.
What made it even worse was that Boots have changed their opening hours to 9:00, so that made me even angrier.
Now I am at work, angry.
It's month end, and I have had my worst month of sales in ages.
It's hard to see how I will get less angry now.

Actually with sleeping I now sleep to the radio so there is always noises, that way the unexpected noises are less likely to wake me!Could you wear earplugs at night? I do and they block out most noise.Take a holiday.Take up running.Move.

Having a good day today, maybe as I'm trying to be more aware of it and stopping myself for getting wound up - I'd sooner sort myself out than get drugs!
In regards to the masturbation suggestion earlier, I'm sure there is a link to anger in men.

I think the radio idea is interesting. I will have to put it to the other half who has to put up with me at the moment.
Goldblum -
I have got a little stash of earplugs at work, so will give them a try too.
I like my house, and before this inconsiderate neighbour, who doesnt have a job, and sleeps all day, so is up all night smoking moved in, everything was as perfect as can be. Couldnt have been happier.
Although he is still waking me early in the morning, its better than what he used to be doing which was coming out each hour throughout the night from 10pm up until 6am.
That really was bad.
It's such a shame that one thing (an annoying bloke) can have such a negative effect on where you live.
That and everything else with work, plus planning a wedding which seems to be getting close way too fast, not having had a holiday for a while and in desperate need of one.
Got a short break in cornwall coming up in 2 weeks time, so hopefully that will help.
In the mean time: Woooosah
