Pain Relief for Sore Coccyx (Tail Bone)
Discussion
Hi all,
Don't know quite how to apporach this, as it hurts like feck but is kinda funny too! I managed to fall whilst snowboarding on Friday (indoor slope), usual story of trying to be clever and I've landed right on my rear. It hurt like sin at the time but I thought not a lot of it, had 20 minutes off to catch my breath and then carried on, albeit a bit more reserved.
My issue is that 3 days later it is still causing me a great amount of pain, I've done some reading on the internet and have come to the conclusion I've either badly bruised or broken my coccyx. I've not been to see a doctor as it appears little or nothing can be done except confirming whether or not it's broken.
I'm after some advice on how to reduce the amount of pain whilst it heals, my job involves a lot of sitting during the day and that is at the moment where I'm most uncomfortable, nearly to the point of nausea. I can't be the only person to have managed this, although maybe the most stupid
can anyone offer any advice that'll make me a little more comfortable, other than giving up snowboarding as I'm obviously not as good as I thought I was
Ta,
Al
