I went to the Doc re back ache that started on Sunday - by the time I was seen ( approx 40 mins later) my whole body had seized and I haphazardly stumbled into the surgery. It was suggested that I be given anti (muscle)spasm tablets instead. I asked and got the max strength Phorpain 10% ibrufen mix to keep things quiet....but is there anything else I could have been given?

Why didn't you follow the Doctor's advice? Treating the pain is unlikely to release the spasms.

Because I don't like taking pills.

You'd really rather have continuing back pain and not address the actual problem? I'm constantly amazed by people. Good luck.

It was a suddenish ( a few days) onset pain - possibly caused by a previous or current sport's injury. When you get a bit past it, then it's likely you'll hurt yourself more or aggrevate previous injuries.

Now it's kicked in - I feel Human again smile
It's very difficult to express how miserable constant back pain is - but this phorpain gel works :}

You don't have to express it to me, mate. My back wakes me up every morning.
