How many ailments
Discussion
I seem to have far too many things wrong with me. I'm 50 this year and although non of them are a great inconvenience, it's just starting to get to me.
Currently:
Had a heart attack in 2009, so now panic every time my chest hurts and am convinced that I'll drop dead any minute.
Had a Basal Cell Carcinoma removed from my nose in 2008 but now have 2 much larger ones on my forehead, awaiting op to remove them and probably disfigure me.
According to the doctor I have IBS.
My back goes suddenly from time to time.
I have been suffering for a while with some kind of RSI injury to my right forearm, wrist and fingers which makes it very difficult and painful to do my job.
My near sight is getting worse and worse.
Weirdly most people think I'm nearer 40 than 50 but some mornings I feel 90.
Let's hear from the rest of you about annoying ailments

Nothing compared to your stuff. My issues are clearing up with the drugs and so things are becoming easier.
Before I was diagnosed I could hardly walk for 30 minutes before developing a limp. Now I can walk all day, which is great, as I love going on long walks. Recently completed a 7 mile walk with my baby daughter strapped to my hip.

I am a type 2 diabetic . We have a family history of it . I have poor eyesight , I have lost a lot of weight too , I am just under seven stone . This now means that I am unable to work .
The ironic thing is that I used to be really fit and healthy . I did not even have a GP .
Everything is an effort and too much hassle .

Nothing major, but my knees are a bit buggered. They have cracked for years, but they are getting worse - going up stairs can be quite uncomfortable. Doc referred to me to a physio who gave me some exercises that didn't really seem to get to the root of it and if I do them as instructed would seem to take about half an hour 4 times a day...
Forty this year and physically beginning to feel like a high mileage Renault - bits of me rattle and pop, things that should be tight feel baggy and loose and vice versa. I have recurrent severe depression which is beginning to grind me down (don't feel self-pity but I do wish it would fk right off) and courtesy of the brain meds I now have sky-high blood pressure; consequently anything faster than a walk feels like a flat out 800m and takes a while to recover from.
Work and family 'rock' tho' so onwards and upwards (or sideways, probably).

I'm only 26 and I'm ready for the scrapper:
Chronic liver disorder, with an average lifespan of 9 years without a transplant, I'm at 6-7 now. Also comes with a risk of liver, bowel and colon cancer. I feel ill and I'm in pain a lot but I still have to work 10 hours a day because "it doesn't count as a disability".
Ulcerative Colitis: Basically, if I don't take tablets I will literally st myself to death. Before I was diagnosed I was down to 7 stone due to uncontrollable stting.
Some kind of arthritis (I guess) on my left side only, my knee, wrist and shoulder hurt most of the time.
Lower back pain, if I lie down for too long I get severe pain. Weirdly it is not bad when I'm active.

Have to agree I'm getting a little frustrated at the moment that no matter what I try and do something gets in the way.
I have a tin leg on the right and the left is a bit battered, had my ankle replaced jan/11, had a few complications but since sept have been seeing a trainer and really lost the weight and got strong.
Started back on the mountain bike then my left hip arthritis started playing up so I've had to cut it down to once a week, then started playing sitting volleyball which I love and now my right shoulder is playing up.
Oh and occasionally after a really hard gym session for a day or two I'm totally exhausted so back to see the endo dr for more thyroid checks (already on thyroxine)
This fitness thing is killing me

It's just that I have never been a sun bunny and have always been reasonably fit so having a heart attack and skin cancer is pretty annoying. My ex-wife fries in the sun all day, drinks like it's going out of fashion every single day yet has the constitution of an ox and the hide as well
