best casual shoe for bad back

Hi,

need new shoes - i live in converse which i love but having a bad back theyre not really the best choice as i do a lot of walking in the city.

any suggestions for a performance, technical casual shoe? casual is good ie merrel, salomon style but want lightweight so no big trainers.

I presume need good sole support and plenty of cushioning etc

or after a quick google should i just get some expensive soles in which case any recommendations eg these look good?

I have been tempted with something along the lines of these, although I don't have a bad back, just <fletcher> "bad feet" <fletcher>. They look a bit less "special needs" than some of the others.
