Tried searching, but can't find anything...
The nub of it is that I have suffered on and off for many years, but all of a sudden they are becoming much more frequent - 3 in the last 10 days for example.
I haven't changed much about my lifestyle, although I have started drinking one cup of coffee each whereas before I drank none. I have also started an intermittent fast way of eating, where I do not eat between about 9pm and 1pm.
I have a contact lens check next week, and guess that I will try cutting out the coffee again, but any other suggestions? Not sure if it is worth a visit to the GP until after the opticians. The episodes do seem to affect my eyes more, and I seem more light sensitive I think.
Getting a tad concerned.....

I suffer from the odd migraine and also regular headaches. Fortunately the sick inducing and paralysing migranes are few/far between but I found they were induced by food.
For me it was fish and chips on a Friday night and believe (although can't be 100%) that it was the high fat content. I went through a phase of eating fish and chips and suffering from huge migranes the following day. When I stopped eating them the migranes stopped. Like I say I can't be 100% but ultimately I didn't care as I wasn't bed ridden so frequently. Other people I've spoken to used to suffer after eating cheese or chocolate.
Although I never did, I've heard it's good to have a food diary. I would perhaps stop the coffee and the different eating style and go from there.
Hope this helps. Best of luck!
ETA. if you're really worried about the frequency then go visit your GP. Mine said it's only worth investigating if the frequency changes. I don't want to worry you but is worth a visit IMHO just to put it out of your mind.

Not eating between 9pm and 1pm would be sufficient to trigger my migraines. Is there a reason why you've started this eating pattern?
Only because I have looked into the concept of Intermittent Fasting from a health and training perspective, and it makes sense. And also seems to work for me - unless of course it is triggering the episodes. If dropping coffee doesn't work I will change my eating habits back. I'd put it down to food too, having said that...
I suffered with headaches and migranes
I gave up wine, cheese and coffee 8 months ago, had about 1 headache and 2 migranes in that time, so headaches decreased, migranes not decreased, having said that my migranes are quite minor, just get a very bad head for about 4 hours and as long as I can cool down my head and get off to sleep, they go without medication
They are 3 of the usual triggers, so would try the food option first

Like you, I had suffered with Migraines for over 10 years - sometimes 2-3 per week, lasting more than 24 hours and until January they were getting WORSE!!!!
My wife did some research and we came accross an ingredient called ASPARTME (google it) which is a synthetic sweetener and is in LOADS/1000's of products - like Robinson's Barley Water drinks for example, which I used to drink as it says on the bottle no "artificial . . . "!!!
Anyway - the day I stopped drinking RBW is the day that my Migraines stopped - after 10 years - drugs, tests, tears, pain, sickness, diets blah blah blah its like a miracle has occured!
Hope this helps and that you get your sorted soon.

Thanks Guys. I've dropped the coffee and I'm just back to drinking Yerba Mate tea. I will see how this effects me, before changing back from intermittent fasting if necessary. There is definitely a visual element going on here, so the optician visit is tomorrow. And if all else fails it will be off to see The Quack....
