I appear to have a noisey heart :s
Discussion
Long story short. I had chest pains on Monday, in the evening I laid down for a kip and my heartbeat was audibly loud. Called NHS Direct who sent out an Ambulance much to my protest. They came over and I tested fine on their machine.
They sent me on to the out of hours doc at hospital who said I may have an inflammed ribcage and to keep an eye on it. I hadn't been able to show anyone the noise so I'm not sure they really understood.
Fast forward to this morning and I'm woken up by what I thought was the gf digging her head into my chest but it was actually the noise again having woken her up and causing me pain. Went to see my doctor today and made him listen to the noise. He said that it sounds like its coming from the aortic pump? He booked me in for a visit to the cardiologist mid October.
Anyone have any experience in things like this? I'm suitibly crapping my pants about the whole thing and the 3 ish week wait isn't helping! It only happens if I'm flat on my back and I feel fine in any other position.
I asked him if the noise would go away before my appointment and he just laughed and said no haha.
It's also hard to explain the noise, imagine you're blowing a bubble in milkshake, sounds a bit like that.
Anyone a bit more in the know that can give me some info to digest while I wait for my appointment?
Thanks,

Thanks,
If you can cope with worry, then google "heart murmur"
You may not have one
If you are stoic then don't
But don't ignore the chest pains if they return.
Could be something, could be nothing.
For what it's worth you might as well google "costochondritis" because you've mentioned it in your post.
But don't worry.
