Electronic Cigarettes

I was doubtful about whether they are anything like smoking a cig until my friend told be about someone he knows that used to smoke 20 a day that has completely switched to his electronic cigarette. Never seen anyone else using one in public so don't know if I will look like a knob but to be honest it's got to be better than walking around smelling of fags, not to mention the health implications.

Has anyone tried them? There are so many different brands / models available with different features such as liquid nicotine or cartridges and I couldn't find any decent information online on which one to buy. Price range from £10 to £100 and this one looked fairly decent, even though I couldn't find any reviews. Are they all the same? And has anyone stopped smoking cigarettes and switched to one of these? I appreciate it's going to be just as difficult to give this up as it would be a normal cigarette so I am only buying it as an alternative to normal fags.
