for the last 2 weeks i seem to have developed a urinary problem which has progressively got worse.

the main symptoms seem to be an innability to pee completely. i start to go and then it stops, i still feel like i need to pee but it just wont come out and i have to force a little more out but never seem to feel completely done. and as such i find myself going more regurarly only releasing a little at a time.

more recently ive found that im really straining when going recently and get a rather sore bladder/kidneys/lower abdomin. not exactly where. its not a shooting pain more like its tensed much more that it should be.

i think this has went past the "just ignore it and hope it goes away" phase. and it quite annoying at night taking 3 or so trips before bed to i can rest comfortably.

does anyone have any insight. ive done some googling but cant think of a prognosis but it hasnt told me i have cancer yet so thats a plus. the main concern is im only 20, so i dont know what it could be prostate or bladder issues.

naturarly im a bit nervous about going to the doctor but feel its gone on a bit to long and thats what il probably have to do monday morning. i have nightmares of the dreaded lubricated glove.

Just get yourself down the doc.
The chances are, it will be an infection of some type, sorted out with some pills.
DO NOT GOOGLE IT. Go to see a doc and if you're not happy, go to see another.
I would bet money that if you are able to see a doc by Monday, you'll be sleeping better on Tuesday.
Good luck.

Something called phimosis quite possibly, and you've probably got an infection from not being able to fully empty your bladder as well.

Go to GP. Talk. Yeah, they may want to check your prostate, but you are perfectly within your rights to decline at this or any point - the key thing is, don't avoid seeing a doctor because you're frightened of being examined - urinary tract infections can be really nasty if they're allowed to get worse and worse, up to kidney-threatening levels. Remember you can ask to see a male or female doctor if you think you'd prefer to talk about this with/be examined by one rather than the other.

My guess would be that you'll go to your GP, and once you've explained what's been going on you'll be sent straight to a urologist who will be able to investigate further.

All the best - but GO TO A DOCTOR.

I had this kind of problem, but with me is was an abscess pressing on the urethra and stopping pee from coming out.

after a few days i managed to pee properly, then later went and had the abscess sorted through surgery.
