Shoulder impingement
Discussion
Had this problem for as long as I can remember and to be honest it only really causes me a problem when I push my limits on press style exercises. Been to the physio for the last 6 weeks and she has recommended me some back exercises which I'm doing a lot more of in my sessions, and she has also done some "rubbing" and ultra sound and I'm now back to being able to exercise normally but only with light weights high reps which is a bit frustrating!
Has anybody got any recommendations to help this condition or are my days of heavy over?
Don't want to go down the surgery route.

Apart from physio exercises, stay away from the weights for 6 months minimum until you feel no soreness whatsoever. Or be a dick like me and enjoy 3 years of substandard performance with on-going shoulder injury. (Injured it climbing and continued to climb despite the pain instead of letting the shoulder heal.)
1. Stop doing any weights that involve your shoulder.
2. Go see doctor and get a course of anti-inflammatories.
3. See a different physio..there's ways to tell exactly what kind of impingement you're suffering and exercises to rehabilitate the injured part.
4. Accept the fact you have a serious injury and be prepared to take time away weights/exercise or it will not heal.
