Stupidity, chemicals on skin question

I had to clean some very oily car parts and used Mequiars APC undiluted, about a litres worth, and ended up getting my bare hand in to wash some stuff for a couple of minutes.
It says very clearly not to use it this way undiluted with bare skin, especially a litre of it, it's printed on the back and front. It even offers the advice not to do this and has clear instructions.
On the first night some skin was flaking off, 1 day later and skin is still flaking off, any advice?, i've tried flax oil to retain moisture in the skin but I still smell of APC and my skin is still flaking.

E45 on hands lots of it then put a pair of un-powdered latex gloves on top for 1 hour
should work
I'll try that, used the flax oil as only bought in during a healthy phase and never used it.should work

I called the NHS advice line and they had the same advice, but unless I take time off work to get an appointment etc their advice was to tell them what the marker was on the container and to see a doctor if it didn't clear up or started bleeding from under the skin, which it hasn't.Doublebase Gel works for me, but it takes constant application over a few days and wearing unpowdered latex gloves in bed after applying loads of the Doublebase is advantageous. I have psoriasis, though, and going anywhere near oil, petrol, white spirit or grease sets it off nicely on my hands and arms (I wear latex gloves when working on cars nowadays, I'm a slow learner 
)
