"I never get hangovers"
Discussion
Partly inspired by the 147 bottles of wine thread, but are some people immune to hangovers, bulls
tting or just putting on a brave face.
It's very annoying when I'm suffering with a colossal hangover for some smug git to announce that they never get hangovers? My assumption is that they obviously didn't drink enough.

Im a case for not yet having a hangover. Unsure why, I certainly drink enough, I dont drink regulary, but night out with the boys, and I tend to be the one trying all the silly challenges, mixing etc.
Following morning, they are all rough, hanging, Im normally off to work, or outside doing the car. Im sure one day it will catch me up. Only thing I ever feel is tired, but im guessing thats down to the 5am arrival at home, and still being up by 8.
Lucky - for now - my dad still doesnt suffer, mum does, so im hoping I can take after my father.

I've had hangovers since I began drinking - I never had that joy of youth where you could mix all sorts and be fine. Eventually go so bad it was one of the factors in quitting full stop - the downside of the next day just wasn't worth the night before.
Based on my being on one end of the scale, I assume there are people out there who can process alcohol really well and thus barely feel it. Gits.

2 ibroproufen and 2-3 pints of water before bed prevents them very effectively in my experience
Not for me.
Also ibuprofen is not a good idea if you've an upset (empty) stomach, can cause gastric bleeding which is very serious.
Its better than paracetemol though, which is very bad for the liver.
Oddly I find marijuana works wonders for me, knocks me out, and I get a decent sleep. Not so good if hungover in the morning where it can make me feel rather sick and light headed

puke if I smoke dope when I've been drinking. I reckon I'd be more likely to die from choking on my own vomit than gastric bleeding.
Puking has never really been a problem for me with my hangovers. More just the feeling that I'm going to die. When I drink, I don't notice any negative symptoms, I'm probably too hammered to notice any!Mind you this wasn't the case when younger, when even a couple of pints would make puke. This has come about from years of practice!

I never used to get them... then I hit my 30s.
I swear each one gets worse...
This. And the spewing started at 30. Next day without fail if it's a proper session.I swear each one gets worse...

My first heavy session in my thirties was probably my last.
I'm now too terrified to get bladdered for fear of the next morning.

I still go out every Friday, but my word, Saturdays are definitely a test of ones endurance and determination to keep breathing!
