Which dental insurance?
Discussion
I know a bit about the dental world, and there are 2 main dental insurance providers. Denplan and Practice Plan. Both similar in the way they work where you pay a monthly fee (varying on the type of cover you want) and this monthly fee covers (normally) 2 check ups and hygenist visits per year. Then on top of this, you'll have to pay for treatment. Again, this depends on the level of cover you've gone for, but usually you have to cover the lab fees of the dentist (i.e. if they have to send off for bridges/implants/etc). You may have normal fillings covered with the monthly fee.
However, NHS dentists could be the best route as they often use exactly the same materials as private dentists. However, they will still charge you! Depending on what you're having done the costs vary.
Don't always default to thinking private is best, NHS dentists are often the best route!
