Feels like cast is sticking to wound...

got an ankle cast on my broken ankle and its been nearly 2 weeks since surgery and have had cast elevated as much as possible except for hobbling down stairs to the toilet or when making food or bathing (no more than 5/10 mins tops). It gets the usual blood rushing feeling and hurts like swelling which I was told is normal.
I have an appointment on monday to have cast replaced and stitches removed, tonight I have a feeling inside the cast like one of the ankle wounds (with gauze on) is sticking to the cast slightly, no pain, coldness in toes or numbness, just noticed the cast feels like sticking.
Any advice from resident doctors as NHSDirect say dont worry or contact GP in morning if worrying too much, but they said that when the ankle was dangling in place.
Not wanting ambulance etc (only way I can get out as I need patient transport at the moment for appointments) but is it cause to be worried or just leave it for the final 2 days and let fracture clinic sort it if it has been?
Is it normal to feel this kind of sensation?

pinned and plated. 2x 6/7 inch openings next to ankle bone on each side.
cast was a little big (swollen leg 24 hours after operation) but swelling has gone down and there is a little movement of the cast on the ankle.
small amount of oozing of blood from other wound but its not the side that is feeling sticky.
like I say its the sensation of stickiness so could be a little sweat or blood, no water has got down the cast.
I'd err on the side of caution and get it looked at. If the break is stable through pinning and plating it's not the end of the world having it recast. The other reason i ask is if you've had and open surgery there's a risk of infection.
As an aside, whin i had an IM pin through my tib, for a long time after the sking around my achilles felt sticky. It was someting to do with fluids from inside the bone that were getting out but still beneath the skin. It was like it for about 6 months.

if infection I should be able to smell it.
unfortunately if it needs a trip to hospital now, it means ambulance... as I cant walk at the moment, wonder if they will recast it for 2 days until monday when the stitches are supposed to come out...
