Blood in semen

I noticed this last night - never slept.

Today intense pain in my left hand side and generally feeling bloody unwell. After worrying myself sick last night about what blood in ejaculate could possibly be,today I'm guessing I have some sort of infection.

I guess I'm checking if anybody here has had similar symptoms? Still worried and feeling st. Left work early and called gp. Could only get appt. for Wednesday am. Called back an hour or so later saying how generally st I'm feeling ( pain in side getting worse ) and the gp is calling me at home shortly.

Still not googled what this could be. Not sure if it matters but I did have a testicular torsion about 20 years ago.

Anybody got any thoughts?

I'd wait 'til you speak to your GP rather than get guestimates on here.

There was a similar post a few years ago. Referred to the situation as raspberry ripple I believe.

I don't remember the outcome but I seem to remember something about too much self abuse...

May I suggest blood somewhere it shouldn't be and pain means you need to get down A&E now...

The GP is the right place to go first. It's not an emergency.

First off this has nothing to do with self abuse! I only asked on here because I probably have would have worked myself up googling last nights sypmtoms. At least in this section of PH you usually get good advice...rather than playground stuff.

After speaking with my GP she is putting me on antibiotics as it sounds like I have an Epididymus infection. I'll provide a urine sample tomorrow morning but will start the antibiotics today and I'll keep my Wed am appointment and go in and see her. Like I said didn't have any other symptoms last night night apart from the blood bit. Feeling st now.

I was being serious. It was a question before. And self abuse sticks in my mind as being the answer last time. I couldn't find the thread but thought you might be able to find it based on the parts I could remember. E.g. raspberry ripple and self abuse.

Hope the antibiotics work!

Thanks mate - this whole episode was a surprise to me and the O/H. I'm actually glad other symptoms came on pretty quick.....made me worry less and realise it was probably an infection of some sort. Feeling stty today...off work for the rest of the week - which makes me feel even worse. First time off sick in years!
I'll try looking for that thread - here's hoping meds work !
